Sustenance,Week 4-5

This week we have been asked to think about "Sustenance" and work with Digital/Reactive Architecture. Of course the first thing that came into my mind was the general meaning of sustenance, Support & Strengthen physically or mentally. We have been asked to think about things in a more detailed way than just the general meaning.There are different levels to thinking about in Architecture like layers. Everyone in my group chose a topic that what sustenance meant to them and I chose Digital language/ communication for back ground.
To me digital language (communication technology) is very important. I believe that this technology had brought people close to each other that the distance had became meaningless. That is true people might spend less time physically together in real life but they can always see each other using a web camera within a very short time or just grab the phone and call. It had make this possible to people to connect with people from the other side of the earth. It has different effects on people, one of them can be on people who live alone. When someone lives alone need of connection with other people will be felt more. In this case this person can easily use this technology, go into a social networking website and socialize. With answering to the need of connection and communication, people will do better in other aspects of their lives and will have better health. It is like people feeding their souls and spirits.
